Hocking River Construction is a small company designed to serve the Logan/Central Ohio communities’ construction & carpentry needs. Doug, owner & operator, is looking to grow his team and we’re looking for the right candidate.
The type of work can range from standard framing construction, trim carpentry, interior paint, light excavation, light concrete work, demolition, job site management, etc.
We are a fun, positive, clean, safe and supportive workplace.
Pay is competitive and dependent on experience and level of readiness to contribute. This is an ideal opportunity for a seasoned carpenter, or potentially a young person out of school who is willing to learn.
We are looking for a dependable sub-contractor to help carry out work in the Logan/Lancaster/central Ohio area.
Ideal candidates would have the following qualifications.
Drivers license and reliable transportation: Being where you are expected to be at the time you are expected is paramount.
Tools: The ideal candidate has accrued carpentry tools. Hammer, measuring tape, drill, circular saw etc. A Solid reliable fleet of tools will make you a more valuable carpenter.
A willingness to accrue and maintain a fleet of tools is expected long term.
Experience: Basic field knowledge is a plus, expert knowledge compensated, common sense and work ethic required.
Ability: This is a physical labor job. The ideal candidate should be able to lift 50 lbs consistently. Carrying boards, sheet goods, demolition debris is a regular part of the workday.
Availability is the best ability: Carpentry schedule can fluctuate; sometimes hinging on weather and job variables. Ideal candidates are flexible, yet punctual, with a focus on communication and serving the needs of the customer, and the company’s wellness overall.
