Today, the ladies of KCI took a little time away from the office to celebrate Chrisann before her upcoming move across the country. ❤️

While we’re certainly going to miss having her right here with us, we’re very happy that she’ll still be part of the KCI team from afar. It was a wonderful excuse to get together, enjoy a great lunch, and celebrate a pretty special coworker and friend.

And because apparently you can’t get too far away from KCI around here… we just happened to have one of our project sites right across the street - Longmont's LoCol Square! 😄🏗️

Wishing Chrisann and her family all the best on their next adventure — we’ll miss seeing you every day, but we’re very glad this isn’t goodbye! ❤️

We’re proud to see KCI’s work featured in Mass Transit magazine!

While Colorado will always be home, for the past eight years our work with Amtrak has taken KCI to stations throughout the Midwest and beyond. Most recently, we completed accessibility and passenger experience improvements at Amtrak’s Fort Morgan and Granby stations here in Colorado.

We’re grateful for the continued opportunity to partner with Amtrak on projects that make passenger rail safer, more accessible, and more welcoming for travelers and the communities these stations serve.

The upgrades include level boarding platforms, improved shelters and more accessible paths of travel.

On August 26, 1987, Krische Construction, Inc. began a journey that has now spanned 39 years, countless projects, and relationships throughout the communities we serve.

We’re incredibly grateful for everyone who has been part of KCI’s story along the way—our employees past and present, clients, subcontractors, design partners, and friends. Each has played a part in helping us become the company we are today.

Here’s to 39 years of Constructing Quality, Building Trust, and Making a Difference—and to everything we’ll build together in the years ahead.

Congratulations to the City of Westminster, Colorado - Government on the reopening of McKay Lake Open Space!

KCI is honored to have been part of transforming this incredible community space into an even more accessible and enjoyable destination for residents and visitors alike.

From improved trails and ADA-accessible features to new bridges, boardwalks, shelters, restrooms, and gathering spaces, every enhancement was designed to help people connect with nature and each other.

A huge thank you to the City of Westminster, the project team, our trade partners, and everyone who helped bring this vision to life. We appreciate the opportunity to partner on projects that leave a lasting impact on our communities.

We’re excited to welcome Terry Been to KCI as our new Director of Operations!

Terry brings decades of construction leadership and operations experience, including more than 21 years with Heath Construction/Saunders Heath, where he managed schools, remodels, metal buildings, precast structures, civil projects, special projects, and business unit operations.

A Colorado native, Terry grew up in Naturita and earned his Business Management degree from Mesa State College. His career began in reclamation work across the Colorado Plateau before transitioning into construction operations.

Outside of work, Terry enjoys hiking, hunting, fishing, camping, and exploring National Parks with his wife, Michelle. He and Michelle have two sons, Timothy and Trevor.
