Working with Google, Lockheed Martin & Hackstrut

FrancordSoft is excited to announce several recent developments. In the last few months, we've been working hard on new projects with companies like Google and Lockheed Martin. In addition, we are proud to announce our new startup, Hackstrut.

•Google: We recently worked with Google on an Air Force project. It was a great opportunity to showcase our skills, and we're excited to continue working with such a forward-thinking company. Having worked with Google, IBM, the Air Force, and other major organizations, Francordsoft is quickly becoming a top choice for software development. We're confident that we can take on any project, no matter how complex.

•Lockheed Martin: We are thrilled to announce that we have been contracted by Lockheed Martin to work on cutting-edge technologies. This is a major coup for our company and is a great opportunity for us to show the world what we're capable of.

•Hackstrut: FrancordSoft is the parent company of Hackstrut, a multi-channel gateway platform that uses sophisticated checks to deliver security and firewall for organizations. We're excited to offer this new service to our clients.

While smart technologies are sure to transform the office much as they have the home and car, intelligent enterprise goes even further by recognizing the potential impact technology has on society at large. For example, the “citizen AI” trend is similar to Isaac Asimov’s “three laws of robotics” where organizations must ensure that their technologies act responsibly, fairly, and transparently.

'Africa’s job market is complicated, to say the least. For starters, you have double-digit youth unemployment rates — and youth represents about half of the population. We need to get the young population working and engaged if we want to solve Africa’s other problems. And I’m not talking about making and selling trinkets to tourists. I’m talking about technology, infrastructure, logistics, and healthcare jobs. These are jobs that will help transform Africa and provide young professionals with a livelihood they’ll enjoy and prosper in — jobs that will entice the brightest young workers to stay in Africa rather than leave in search of better opportunities.'

FrancordSoft 2018

2017 was another busy year at FrancordSoft, one filled with exciting projects. Among the highlights:

We started another contract with the government and various clients in the private sector. We especially enjoy working on projects like these where we can make a real difference in solving problems or reducing costs (ideally both) with technology and creativity.

We’re also about to launch a job search engine for Africa this year, another passion project where we’re filling a huge need while also helping African jobseekers and employers alike. As the launch date gets closer, we’ll share more details.

Here we are in the dog days of August. While many of us take a well-deserved break this time of year, we’ve been busier than ever. We’re putting the finishing touches on our latest project and brainstorming ideas for our next one.

That’s on top of our day-to-day projects and contracts. We’re also readily available to help with IT projects, software development, high performance business research, consulting, outsourcing, and more.

FrancordSoft 2017!

Looking back and looking forward: 2016 was an amazing year for us, and 2017 is already exciting. Last year, we launched a digital sports media company in Africa, Ducor Sports, one of the fastest-growing media outlets on the continent. We launched just in time for the Olympic Games in Brazil and have since covered tennis, football, basketball, boxing, cricket, golf, rugby, soccer, and track — all with an emphasis on African teams and athletes.

In addition to sports coverage, live scores, player profiles, opinion articles, and analysis, we developed a mobile app and sports analytics software to provide a more robust and engaging user experience.

Now that 2017 is well underway, we thought we’d also share with you what’s in the works: Number Trend, a job search engine for Africa. Number Trend provides job seekers with employer ratings and insights, helping them to be more selective while holding employers to a higher standard.

These two projects have been extremely rewarding to work on. The future is bright here and in Africa!

Have you been to Francordsoft.com recently? We have a new look, and we think you’ll like it.

Just as fashion trends come and go, the same is true of website design. Older websites can start to look dated. However, it’s not just about pretty pictures. Over the last few years, technology has changed dramatically.

For example, you probably spend more time looking at websites on your smartphone than you do on your desktop computer. Thus, we wanted to make sure the new website looks and acts just as nice on mobile phones and tablets as it does on desktops.

Another important factor to us is the user experience. The new website is easier to navigate, easier to read, and easier to interact with us.
