Repair done with following materials
Sheetrock 4x4
9 sheetrock screws
Quick lite 20 x1 bag
Mesh tape
Small bucket of lightweight joint compound

3 hours prep , sheetrock installation, clean up , prefill , tape , first coat , clean up , second coat , skim coat , sand , clean and vaccum .

Green is for taping ! Blue is for coating !

Reason being is the Green mud had a adhesive mixed for a stronger bond.

Green mud
-pros great for taping and corner beads

-cons heavy , hard to sand , very thick harder to manuver .

Blue mud
-pros easy to mix , easy to sand , easy to feather out

Cons - does not give tape full strength to bonding to drywall. May cause blistering if used for taping.
