Finally pulled the trigger on the DEWALT 20 Volt MAX Cordless 6-Tool Set, and after putting it through its paces this weekend, I’ve got some thoughts. 🛠️
The Pros: Honestly, the value is tough to beat if you need to build up your kit quickly. The drill and impact driver are absolute workhorses with great ergonomics (they just feel right in your hand), and the convenience of switching the same 20V battery between the circular saw and the light is a game-changer for backyard projects.
The Cons: If you are doing heavy-duty daily construction or cutting thick lumber all day, the included smaller batteries tend to drain pretty quick on the saws. You'll definitely want to upgrade to higher amp batteries eventually for the heavy stuff.
Overall? It's a massive win for DIYers and homeowners looking for a reliable, all-in-one setup without breaking the bank.

I finally got my hands on the Milwaukee M18 FUEL Brushless Impact Driver (2953-22) and put it through its paces. Honestly, this thing is a beast. The power and speed are top-tier, and it easily sinks structural screws without breaking a sweat. It’s also super compact, which is a lifesaver when you're squeezing into tight joists. On the downside, the selector button for the 4-mode drive control is positioned right where it's easy to accidentally bump with your hand while working, and the case it comes with is a bit bulkier than it needs to be. Still, if you need a reliable, hard-hitting tool for daily use, this kit is worth every penny.

Honestly, if you're looking for a beast of a mag drill that won't break your back (or your budget), the CS Unitec MABasic 400 is definitely worth checking out. I’ve been putting this thing through its paces, and the power-to-weight ratio is honestly insane for a 2-speed motor.
The Pros: It cuts through thick steel like butter, the magnet holds like absolute glue, and it’s surprisingly easy to carry around the shop or up a ladder. Plus, the internal lubrication system keeps your cutters from burning up, which is a massive lifader.
The Cons: Honestly, the coolant bottle bracket feels a little flimsy compared to how rugged the rest of the drill is, and I wish the hard case had just a little more room for extra annular cutters and accessories.
Overall though? It's an absolute workhorse for fabrication and structural work.

If you've been eyeing that FLTRGO benchtop drill press stand and vise combo, I just wrapped up a solid breakdown on it. It’s a pretty clever way to turn a standard hand drill into a precise setup without buying a massive, expensive machine. It definitely has some great pros for small workshops, but there are a couple of quirks with the stability and column play you’ll want to know about first. Drop a comment if you've used one!

Picked up the Olympia Tools 5-inch multipurpose vise (model 38-644) for the workshop. Overall, it’s a solid piece of gear for the price. The 360-degree swivel base is super smooth. It locks down tight and doesn't budge when you're working. The built-in anvil is also a nice bonus for quick hammering jobs.

On the downside, the factory grease it comes covered in is a mess. You'll want to wipe it down immediately. The handle also feels a bit thin if you really try to crank down on it. Still, for everyday garage projects, it gets the job done without breaking the bank. Definitely a solid buy if you need a reliable, budget-friendly workbench upgrade.

So I've been putting this KAKA Industrial BDS-8 bench top metal bender through its paces in the shop. Honestly for the price it is a solid little tool but it has some limits you should know. The build quality is surprisingly heavy duty and it makes clean, repeatable bends on flat and round stock without breaking a sweat. Pros are definitely the compact size and how easy it is to mount to a workbench. But for the cons, the manual it comes with is pretty much useless and you really have to crank on the lever if you are working near its max capacity. Also the paint chips off super fast but that dont really affect how it works. If you do light fabrication or hobby work its a great buy, just dont expect industrial shop speed.

Finally got around to testing out the Elikliv 21V Cordless Impact Wrench Kit, and honestly, this thing is a beast for the price. If you’re doing DIY car maintenance or tearing through stubborn lug nuts in your garage, the power on this cordless impact wrench will absolutely surprise you—it breaks loose rusted bolts without breaking a sweat, and not having to drag an air compressor hose around is a total game-changer. On the downside, the build quality definitely feels a bit more on the budget-plastic side compared to a premium DeWalt or Milwaukee, and the battery life is great for light to medium jobs but might leave you hanging if you're pulling a full day of heavy-duty mechanical work. Overall, if you need a reliable, budget-friendly Elikliv cordless impact wrench to keep in your trunk or workshop for quick fixes, it’s a solid investment that punches well above its weight class.

Hey guys, just dropped a new review on the blog for anyone who does a lot of metalwork. We took a close look at the S&F Stead & Fast 9/16″ Mag Drill Bit with the 2″ depth of cut, and honestly, this HSS annular cutter is pretty impressive for the price point. If you are tired of burning through standard twist drills when you're working with heavy steel beams, this thing cuts clean holes way faster and doesn't stress your mag drill as much. That being said, it’s not perfect—there are definitely a couple of cons you should know about regarding the pilot pin and how it handles harder alloy steels before you go out and buy a whole set. Head over to the site to check out the full pros & cons breakdown!
