Recently, Coral Class explored the beauty of ocean life through a collaborative “Coral Forest” art experience, inspired by their marine life studies. Using colorful, textured materials, the children worked together to create a vibrant underwater world while deepening their connection to ocean habitats.
What the children explored:
✨ Creating coral shapes using dried pasta, arranging and designing their own underwater structures.
✨ Painting and transforming materials to reflect the bright colors and textures of real coral reefs.
✨ Working together to build a shared art piece, encouraging collaboration and teamwork.
✨ Connecting their creations to what they’ve learned about ocean life and marine habitats.
Through this hands-on experience, the children expressed creativity while strengthening fine motor skills and building an understanding of the natural world. How do you explore art and nature with your little one? 🐠

✔️ Social Emotional - Collaboration, teamwork, sharing ideas
✔️ Cognitive - Exploration of ocean habitats, problem-solving and design thinking
✔️ Motor - Fine and gross
✔️ Practical Life - Value of recycling, using materials creatively, organization, and taking care of supplies
