It is with a heavy heart that I have to post this. Irene a tenant here at Wyman’s Exchange has passed away this week. Anyone who knew Irene is one lucky person. She was such a sweet and caring individual who knew how to brighten up your day when you are having such a rough day. RIP Irene you will be greatly missed by many. Prayers to her family and friends you are all in our thoughts.

It’s Throwback Thursday and with the holiday season in full swing, here’s a look back to December, 1949 and the Christmas decorations in downtown Lowell. The Lowell Sun noted that the downtown lighting included “6,000-odd colored light bulbs, nearly seven miles of electric wire and hundreds of wreaths and light post decorations.” Enjoy!

Does your company have changes planned for the next few years?

Our ultimate plan it to Take Care bi-coastal. We’re hoping to reach a broader audience and continue to share our mantra. Take Care Vintage stands for taking care of things we want to last. We salvage, clean, research, mend, and repair because we care.

How long have you been at Wyman's Exchange?

We officially moved into the offices during Covid. It allowed a Lowell High graduate to achieve something their teenage self dreamed of. We’re now going to be open as a brick and mortar for the season. Being in the heart of Lowell is something we’re incredibly grateful for.

Where do you think you will be in five years?

In 5 years Take Care Vintage will hopefully be a full fledged brand and studios. Catering to multifaceted individuals craving both the new and familiar.

What are the company's overall goals for this year?

Our primary goal is having an amazing introduction during this years Folk Festival. It’s been three years since we haven’t been able to celebrate all that our wonderful, flavorful, colorful community has to offer. We can’t wait for everyone to see what we’ve been working on!

(A) The Company was started in 1932 and is still owned by descendants of the same family. The office has relocated several times in the Downtown Lowell area, and continues to serve clients in the Greater Lowell area, and in New Hampshire. Insurance as an industry has changed greatly over the last century, and we have been able to adapt to new technologies as they become available.

(A) We plan to remain in Downtown Lowell, as the city is central to our client base. We will continue to assist individuals, families and businesses with their risk management needs.
