Winter weather brings unique challenges for flat roofs, and safety should always come first! Before reacting to snow accumulation, keep these key points in mind:

DO NOT go on the roof! Single-ply membranes can turn into a skating rink, making slips and falls a serious risk.
Hidden hazards – Snow can cover penetrations like vents and drains, creating unseen trip and fall dangers.
Leaks might not actually be leaks – If snow reaches the flashing level, water can enter places it normally wouldn’t, mimicking a roof leak.
