Madison Public Works

10/12/2026

This past week we celebrated Public Natural Gas Week! A time when communities such as ours give recognition to one of their most valuable community assets, their publicly owned natural gas utility. It is also an opportunity to recognize our employees who work everyday to provide reliable natural gas service to our community!

🎉 Happy Public Natural Gas Week! 🎉

We're proud to serve our community as a public gas system and grateful for the trust you place in us. Why does public natural gas matter?

🏘️ Local Control
Decisions about your natural gas service are made locally by people who understand our community's unique needs.

📈 Economic Benefits
Public gas systems help keep local dollars in the community, supporting economic growth, jobs, and investment.

🤝 Customer Service
We're your neighbors, and we're committed to delivering responsive, dependable service every day.

Follow us this week as we join public natural gas systems across the country to celebrate the benefits of publicly and community-owned natural gas utilities and recognize the dedicated employees who serve our customers every day.
