Clarence is a native of the Outer Banks of North Carolina who graduated from Western North Carolina University majoring in Marketing and receiving a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Upon graduating, Clarence worked in the banking industry for 22 years; working 18 years in the Charlotte, NC area and 4 years in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Since 2002, Clarence has owned and oper
ated his own real estate firm, specializing in site specific sales. In 2006, Clarence was ranked in the top 5 real estate agents in the Outer Banks out of approximately 800 agents. The most recent development that Clarence has worked on, in the Outer Banks, is Kinnakeet Shores a property consisting of 400 acres and includes 610 home sites and amenities. He was directly responsible for 75% of the sales, as well as overseeing the sales process and construction of the property. The marketing efforts of this development have primarily been through the customer base developed in 22 years of banking. The business used multiple sources of marketing including internet, TV and magazine advertising, direct mail, and mls listings; however most of the sales have come from direct referrals. The primary markets targeted for this development have been the areas including Washington, DC, Maryland, Virginia and Seattle, WA markets. From 2002 until 2008 Clarence sold approximately 200 properties totaling more than
42,000,000 in gross sales in Kinnakeet Shores. The project was and still is the best
planned unit development on all of Hatteras Island. Clarence was also involved in pricing the project and as a result of his joint efforts with the Developer achieved the highest priced land sales on the entire Outer Banks of North Carolina.
