⚙️ Employee Spotlight: Kameron Kelly ⚙️

Kameron’s time with Moore Fans began with an engineering internship in the summer of 2015. The experience helped confirm that he was pursuing the right degree, introduced him to the work happening at Moore Fans and gave him some of the skills he continues to use today. He joined the company full-time in May 2016 and has been with us ever since.

As a member of the engineering department, Kameron supports product development and production through testing, stress analysis, CAD, systems automation, fieldwork and data analysis.

For Kameron and the rest of our engineering team, addressing today’s needs is only part of the work.

“Making sure all testing is documented thoroughly enough that, even 10 years from now, we can look back and understand what we did, the steps we took and how we reached the outcome is very important in my role,” Kameron said. “That helps prevent testing from being repeated because important details are missing.”

As a maintenance technician, Buck helps keep our equipment and facilities operating safely and efficiently. His responsibilities include inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining equipment and physical structures throughout the company.

“Buck brings valuable welding and mechanical experience to the company,” said Tony Gladbach, production supervisor. “His ability to apply his skills, work efficiently and complete projects ahead of schedule has been a great asset to our team.”

A maximum sound level is an important starting point when selecting a fan, but the dBa alone may not tell the whole story.

To accurately compare acoustic performance, it helps to understand the conditions behind the measurement:

• Does the requirement refer to sound power or sound pressure?
• Where and at what distance will sound be measured?
• How many fans will be operating?
• What is the required operating point?
• Are nearby structures likely to reflect sound?

These details provide important context. Sound pressure, for example, depends on the measurement location and surrounding environment, while sound power describes the sound generated by the source.

Defining the acoustic requirement early gives engineers a clearer target and helps ensure fan options are evaluated under comparable conditions.

Please join us in congratulating Steve Linebaugh on 30 years with Moore Fans! ⚙️

Steve’s history with Moore Fans began even before he joined the team full time. He worked here while attending college and later returned to the same department where his father had worked.

Earlier this month, Steve was promoted to lead in brakes on the night shift after serving as a brake and TRUMPF operator. Over the years, he has become a trusted resource in the brake area and someone new employees can learn from.

“Steve is an excellent trainer,” said Tyson Brammer, second shift production supervisor. “He has so many part numbers in his head, it’s mind-boggling.”

That experience shows in the little things Steve watches for each day. He checks rivet hole alignment to help make blade assembly easier, counts the skins before starting a new job and looks ahead for other jobs that will use the same materials. By paying attention to those details, Steve helps the team keep inventory on track and avoid emergency changeovers.

Thank you, Steve, for 30 years of hard work and for sharing what you’ve learned with those around you. Also, congratulations on your new role!

⚙️ Employee Spotlight: Mark Stuart ⚙️

After 25 years with Moore Fans, Mark Stuart knows a thing or two about getting the details right.

As a CNC brake operator, Mark sets up and operates CNC press brakes to form precision metal parts for our fans. From selecting the right tooling and loading programs to checking finished parts for accuracy and quality, attention to detail is an important part of his work. He also serves as a backup TRUMPF press operator as needed.

When asked what part of his job takes more know-how than people may realize, Mark points to a proverb from his high school shop teacher that he still follows today.

“The five P’s: Proper planning prevents poor performance,” Mark said. “For me, that means proper tool setup, program verification and getting the tooling and bend sequence right the first time. It’s a skill that comes with experience and focus.”
