All of a sudden I'm getting contacted about repair work on Light Monkey lights. Unfortunately, because of liability, I can't do any repair on their products.

Before people start asking, I have no idea if they are still in business and I don't know why people are contacting me. If I could I would help people out, I simply can't because of liability.

TGIF it's Friday. I hope everyone had a good week. I made a lot of progress on the back orders. I have another 2-3 weeks before I'll get caught up so I will keep ordering "off" on the website for at least another week. Don't forget that you can order through your preferred UWLD dealer, only put a deposit down instead of paying in full on the UWLD website, and your place in line will not change. I fill all orders, regardless of how they come in, first come first served. I do everything possible to support our dealers and only have the online store to fill in the gaps where we don't have a dealer presence.

Finally back to getting production rolling in the shop. Did an inventory and have lots of materials on order as well.

I made a lot of progress this week and I have the sore muscles to go with it. I will start working, some time next week with a few small things left to do, on repairs then back orders. I have NOT turned orders back on the UWLD website yet. At the end of next week I'll gauge how much I get done on back orders then decide when to turn orders back on the website.

Made good progress on getting the shop setup this week. Shelves assembled, lights up, benches are in place, and the main work bench is starting to get organized. There is still a lot to do, however it has been a productive week. Joe, the framer, made good progress on the closet in my office as well. It is way better than waiting for other contractors that spent a lot of time not showing up when they said they would.

I hope everyone has a great weekend and/or great diving. I'm really looking forward to getting things going and being able to get dives in myself. I can almost taste it now.

Got everything out of storage and moved into the shop. Now to start working on getting it all setup which will take me about 3 weeks. I can't wait to get back to building lights. I hope everyone has a great weekend. I will be having an early Christmas getting my shop back up and running.

Finally seeing light at the end of the tunnel. Office was moved in today. Friday the shop equipment is getting moved in from storage, then I can get to work on setting the shop up. Contractors missed their commitment dates by a long shot. HVAC, electrical, walls, insulation, paint, and floor epoxy is all done in the shop at last. It will likely take me around 3 weeks to get the shop set back up and ready to roll.

For those that have been patient and understanding I want to say a big thank you. For those less patient I did the best with what I had to work with. Hopefully we are done moving until they put me in the retirement home. Looking forward to being able to dive whenever we want. We are 15 minutes from the caves now.

The picture will get hung at some time. I'm not sure where I want it to go yet.

The rumors are true, we are moving back to Florida. We will be posting the new address as soon as we get there. Please be patient as a move of the business and the house will take a little time to get sorted out. Until further notice please don't ship anything to us until we have the new address posted.

The good news is that we will be very close to cave diving and wreck diving so we will get more time to hang out and dive with y'all.

I've updated the printable air travel document to the TSA's current requirements. Some of the airlines have also started requiring permission before you reach the airport to take Li-ION batteries on their aircraft. Check with your carrier before going to the airport to ensure you are in compliance with their specific rules. I still recommend rubber banding the printable form and whatever other form (if you need it) to the canister when going through TSA.

Yes, some US airlines have been difficult lately, at this time I believe it is AA and Frontier. Regardless of airline I would contact them well before you go to the airport, download our certification information for the website and send it to the airline to get prior approval. With Australia Airlines this is needed every time regardless of battery size. Then when you hit TSA with your printable UWLD form and permission from the airlines you should have no issues.

I've had a lot of emails and phone calls regarding flying with UWLD battery canisters. There is some confusion about the rules, however they have not changed. As always I suggest that people print the form from the UWLD website and rubber band the form to your battery canister. Also remember that you must remove the light cap from the battery canister as the light head is a heating device.
