Long before turbines are installed, careful planning and research help determine whether a location is a good fit for a wind project.

Developers spend years studying wind patterns through on-site measurements and long-term weather data to better understand site conditions and determine the best locations for turbine placement.

This process helps ensure the project is thoughtfully designed to make the most of the area’s wind resources and provide reliable power over time.

Preserving family farms in Crittenden County starts with listening to landowners and farmers.

Triple Oak meets directly with stakeholders to hear their concerns and learn what matters most to them.

Each wind turbine uses an acre or less, allowing landowners to continue farming on most of their land while preserving family legacies and Crittenden County's agricultural identity.

As interest in wind energy continues to grow across Arkansas, resources that explain the benefits of wind energy can help inform the conversation.

A fact sheet from the Southeastern Wind Coalition highlights how wind projects can:
▪️ Create jobs and support local businesses.
▪️ Generate tax revenue for schools, roads, and emergency services.
▪️ Provide a reliable source of income for participating landowners.
▪️ Produce homegrown energy while helping strengthen the electric grid.

Wind is a homegrown energy resource. As electricity demand continues to grow, it plays an important role in an all-of-the-above energy approach that helps strengthen the Arkansas electric grid.

Proposed in Crittenden County near existing infrastructure, Long Grain Wind will improve grid reliability right here at home.

Building Long Grain Wind means creating new job opportunities throughout Crittenden County, both during construction and for years to come.

An economic impact analysis estimates the project will support hundreds of construction jobs, along with approximately 10 long-term operations and maintenance positions once complete.

Those jobs also ripple outward, supporting local hotels, grocery stores, restaurants, and gas stations throughout the build.

Triple Oak’s work with the Pierce Family Ranch shows how wind energy can help landowners create new revenue while keeping farmland working.

Long Grain Wind would bring that same opportunity to Crittenden County, providing landowners with lease income that supports family farms.

Watch the video to learn how wind energy helps farming families for generations to come.

Wind turbines take up a very small footprint.

Our project will utilize just 1–2% of the 27K acres of leased land, which means farmers can continue producing.

Most of the land remains in active production, allowing agriculture and wind energy to work side by side.
