When designing the feature wall for this living room having a door to the right of the fireplace wall just felt visually obtrusive. We opted for an hidden door and applied a detailed trim over it so when it’s closed, it’s virtually seamless.

Behind that door? A first floor primary suite complete with a bedroom, WIC, full bathroom and small back deck, perfect for aging in place, visitors, or the coolest kids hangout space around. Options are endless!

5 years into a male dominated industry and this is what I’ve learned. Especially number 5. 👇🏼

1. Fake it till you make it, but do the work to back it up
2. Find your people. The subs you trust? Ask them everything
3. Most people are waiting for someone to take the lead, be that person
4. The more you learn, the more confident you move
5. This industry needs more women… the way we think, problem-solve, and execute isn’t “special”… it’s essential.
