Sometimes the best way to understand a project is to see it step by step.

These photos capture the process of removing a transformer from the Protected Area of a nuclear power plant. The team first slid the transformer from its foundation, then used Pull Up Gantries to load it onto a Goldhofer platform trailer.

From there, it traveled through the Protected Area to a staging location, where it was safely placed on a temporary pad.

Different equipment. Different phases. One coordinated move.

Keeping wind power turning sometimes means bringing the big components back down to earth.

Our Oklahoma City branch supported a maintenance project at a wind farm in Kansas, removing the rotor assembly and drivetrain so the main bearing could be replaced at ground level before the components were reinstalled.

From the Port of Charleston to Surry, Virginia.âš¡

Barnhart coordinated the movement of critical generator components by barge before completing a RORO operation at the destination.

Using 12-line PST configurations and two sets of 50-foot Gen 2 ramps, the team rolled the rotor and stator ashore. A 900-ton gantry system then supported the final handling and placement into storage.

Water. Ramps. Heavy transport. Gantries. One coordinated operation from port to storage.

A few photos from a heavy transport project that covered quite a bit of ground, and water.

The move started with an offload from ship to barge, followed by load securement and river transport. From there, the piece was rolled off, transported over the road, and safely offloaded into staging for an upcoming turnaround.

Projects like this take planning, communication, and coordination at every handoff to keep the work safe and the schedule moving.
