The first stage of a client's kitchen transformation is complete.

This client bought their home from us several years ago. They love their home but decided they wanted an updated kitchen and dining room. We worked with them re-imagining what their kitchen and dining could be.

Today we got to start work by removing the existing kitchen cabinets, tile, and mechanicals.

Without both of them, none of us would be where we are now. Our dad’s vision, drive, and determination paired with our mom’s unwavering support, love, and strength created not only a beautiful family, but the foundation of Perthel Homes itself.

They are our inspiration, our mentors, the best parents, and the very best grandparents. Their partnership, commitment, and love for each other have shaped so much more than homes — they’ve shaped all of us.

At first glance, they might look messy, unfinished, or careless…

But what they actually are is thoughtful planning.

Those are speaker wires. 🔊

This is a home & lot package, meaning we don’t know who the future homeowner will be yet. Could we skip pre-wiring for in-ceiling speakers? Sure. Would it drastically change the price of the home? Not really.

But would it make a HUGE difference later when someone wants music in their kitchen, audio on their deck while grilling, or surround sound in their movie room without cutting open brand-new drywall and fishing wires through finished ceilings?

Absolutely.

At Perthel Homes, this is one of those “small things” we believe makes a big difference in everyday living. At minimum, we typically pre-wire 4 speaker locations of your choice — commonly the kitchen, movie room, primary bathroom, and deck — with the option to expand into every room if you’d like.
