You can see the discolored heat exchanger tubes from excessive Heat not to mention the holes in the end of the tube. Proper duct sizing and heat loads are extremely important for performance. This condition shortened the life of this furnace considerably.

This original installation on a brand new home was laying on its side and never performed well and was noisy. After standing it up and connecting new ductwork the customer can use their music room for recording and not have the background noise this furnace created.

The damage is the result of a hail storm bending the fins and restricting airflow. This restriction can increase internal pressure causing damage. It was time-consuming but we combed out the fins to maximize airflow and reducing pressure within the system.
