VTOL Eclipson helix and her big brother! The larger one is a 150% helix with some modifications to support extra wing loading.

Looking forward to flying the large one! The small one flys beautifully, i’ll get some footage up

A14 update,

Carbon fiber wings finished,
Landing gear fully functional,
Edf pods designed and installed,
Nose cone is removable for nose wheel steering and gps access. Could also do fpv options in the nose too if people prefer that over a gimbal in the canopy.

Ill finish the fuselage in carbon fiber and get the head tracking mounted.

I currently have her setup for 2 5kmah 6s packs. I imagine ill get decent flight time 🤷‍♂️

So I have one carbon wing vacuum bagged and then cleaned up to proper shape with a fresh coat of epoxy drying. It will get a nice finishing sand/wetsand combo. Ill do the right wing and fuselage next.

I have decided to go with 21g tailevator servos so i’m waiting on those to arrive to finish off their mounting points.

You can see how the 70mm edf’s slide right into the pod then the pod just glues into place on the fuselage. I may join them up in the model eventually, but I sorta like having them removable 🤷‍♂️

The new shop is coming together. We are doing the buildout of work benches and printer area. I decided to knock out a quick su75 last night and came in this morning with it all printed out. You can spy one that is flight ready in the background already.

We have been far from idle even while being somewhat quiet on here over the holidays.

Su75 Maiden flight FPV.

So, flight characteristics are great but I definatley have an electrical gremlin to work through, my voltage was super low the entire time. I am not the most experienced pilot so I was up gaining confidence to bring her in for a landing and she cut out at 20vdc on a 6s. i'll figure out the electrical side but here is the clip.

The second iteration of both Privid and the Su75 are coming along nicely now that my carbon tubes have arrived! With any luck i’ll be flying both this coming weekend! Ill be developing FPV camera mounting systems for both jets.
