Tore out the entire existing system in all of the ductwork ran a solid pipe as my trunk line. All new short flex runs and the system is working way better than it was prior.

Loose electrical connections can turn into BIG problems. ⚡️🔥

Found a loose high-voltage connection at the contactor causing intermittent contact and excessive heat. The wire got hot enough to melt the insulation and nearly weld the terminal screw in place.

This is exactly why routine HVAC maintenance and electrical inspections matter. A small loose connection can quickly turn into a failed system or serious electrical hazard.

HVAC techs, what are your thoughts on this one? 👀

Remodeled building, roughly 1,500 sq. ft. with four 9k BTU Pioneer heads split between two outdoor units. Systems have reportedly been running for months.

Indoor temp is around 70°F, but humidity will NOT come down. I’m seeing 71–77% RH throughout the building. Indoor heads are sweating heavily and even the insulated refrigerant lines are condensating.

Filters, coils and blower wheels have some drywall dust from construction. Building has also had contractors coming and going, doors opening, etc.

What are you guys thinking? Oversized equipment/not enough latent removal? Construction moisture/infiltration? Something else?

Water on the floor isn’t always the problem… it’s the symptom. 💧

This system had a completely flooded return box, all caused by a clogged condensate drain line. A simple maintenance issue that can lead to soaked filters, water damage, mold, and costly repairs if ignored.

Don’t wait until you see water where it shouldn’t be. Regular maintenance saves money. 👨‍🔧❄️
