Winter is approaching- don't let your home's comfort slip away! The standard home's insulation is recommended to be replaced every 15 years, with an average lifespan of about 20 years. Research has shown that in Texas, it's not uncommon for insulation to pay for itself within 3-5 years. Insulation naturally settles over time, creating separation from the home, allowing air to flow in and out , wasting your home's heating and cooling, which is a direct result of condensation build up, promoting mold and wood rot, and weakening your home's structure over time. This Homeowner had been struggling with rain water seeping into her home due to water puddling along the base at the back of her home. Seeping through the cracks in the existing slab and finding it's way into there home. Damaging the interior walls, door casing, baseboards, and flooring.

We added gutters along the back of the home to divert the rain water away from the side of the home. In order to prevent any further problems with water getting into the home, we replaced the existing slab with a slight slope away from the home to eliminate water from puddling up on the side of the house.

Once we knew we had solved the problem, we replaced all the wood and flooring that was damaged by the water and then finally giving the room and hallway a new coat of paint.

Here is a master bedroom remodeling that I had the opportunity to do for a client a few weeks ago.

Some major improvements to this room included:

- 6 canned lights. This is a very easy and effective way to brighten up the atmosphere in a room and creates a overall positive mood in the room

-The client chose grey with an accent of blue in the undertone for their new wall color. Choosing a brighter color for a room brings a cool tone to the room while also brightening the room and making the overall room feel a lot more spacious

- Window casing is a great way to grab the attention of anyone who walks in the room. This bring out your accent wall in any room and creates a beautiful finish around your windows. You can see amount of time and detail that was put into creating this work of art.

-A thick crown molding around the ceiling allows the paint color to really shine.
