We are currently in a heatwave. Our phone has rung non-stop and we are currently booked up until end of next week.
Please note that no air calls, elderly, and those with small children will take priority.
Here are some tips to help your unit do its job!
Close blinds and curtains: Block direct sunlight from entering your home, especially during the hottest parts of the day.
Insulate windows and doors: Seal any gaps or cracks to prevent cool air from escaping and hot air from entering.
Avoid using heat-generating appliances: Limit oven use, especially during the hottest hours, and consider using the microwave or grill instead.
Maximize shade: If possible, plant trees or shrubs to provide shade for your house.
Consider reflective window film: This can help reflect sunlight away from your windows, reducing heat gain.
Use fans strategically: Ceiling fans, box fans, and tower fans can help circulate air and create a cooling breeze. Buy a window unit to help supplement, especially for second stories where heat rises
Use a dehumidifier: Reducing humidity can make your home feel cooler.
Adjust ceiling fans: Make sure your ceiling fans are rotating counterclockwise to push cool air down.
