Dryer Acting Up? (Story time w/ Mrs. Gray)
Well, ours was, very recently. Levi did some research to figure out what was wrong with our dryer and diagnosed that the touchpad was going out so we looked up the parts and found that the company no longer made the replacement touchpads and didn’t know anywhere else you could buy them from.
Well, then, we looked on Amazon and found that they have a replacement that says that it’s compatible, but it wasn’t the full plastic topper. It was only the touch pad part with a sticky adhesive that you had to put onto the plastic after removing the old one (and it wasn’t clear if it came with a new connector or not). Just for this part it was $100, plus we would have had to wait for shipping, and then hope it had all the necessary parts to be compatible and fix the problem. (We needed a working dryer pronto)
We weighed the pros and cons and decided since we had another dryer in the basement (that we had previously switched out because it was also acting up) that we would switch the dryers out and try to fix that one. We got it up here just to find that it wasn’t having any dryer issues like before, although there was some lint buildup which could have been affecting it.
It was a simple swap (well simple for me because I wasnt here, but it took Levi maybe a couple hours to change them out and do diagnosis?)
Us having a working dryer is imperative for the household to keep running. I cant imagine getting through a week without any laundry 🧺 🫣
In all honesty, I was getting ready to string a clothesline all the way across the house 🤣
