During the late summer/early fall, we had the opportunity to replace some worn down flagstone steps! Before and after pictures are always perfect!
The steps we took for a beautiful finished product!!
1. Gently remove the stones, they were being reused. So we had to take very gentle precautions to preserve them!
2. Grind down the base for the new mortar, this process was very time consuming. We used all health and safety precautions during this step.
3. Clean up the flagstones for reinstallation, this process was very tedious and tricky. Trying not to harm the stones!
4. Spread the new mortar, this process is very simple and self explanatory!
5. Set the stones in the exact same place they were before. Before pictures are always handy for this step!!
6. After letting the mortar cure, we grouted the steps. This was the messiest, also the most rewarding step. The project seemed complete at this step!
7. Clean up the grout, and waterproof it. Then clean up the jobsite and take after pictures!
✨All in all, this project was a very good/short project. This project took us 8 man hours to complete. Over a span of two days!!
