We don’t normally post things like this, but homeowners need to be aware.
Foundation Work Is Not the Place to Cut Corners.
In the last month alone, we’ve repaired two separate floor foundation jobs that were completed by other contractors. Unfortunately, both homeowners had to invest twice — once for the original work, and again to have it corrected properly.
What we found under those homes:
• Piers with no footers
• Beams not plumb
• Improper material selection
• Inadequate support systems
• No clear load distribution plan
These aren’t cosmetic issues. These are structural concerns that directly affect the stability of a home.
This isn’t about criticizing other contractors. It’s about educating homeowners.
Foundation repair requires planning, precision, and a clear understanding of how the weight of a home is transferred and supported.
When that process isn’t done correctly, problems show up quickly — sagging floors, cracks, sticking doors, and shifting supports.
Before hiring someone for structural repairs, ask questions:
✔️ How is the load being transferred?
✔️ What materials are being used?
✔️ How will this hold up long term?
✔️ Can the process be clearly explained?
The goal isn’t to be the quickest or cheapest option. The goal is to be the option that lasts.
If you’re unsure about previous foundation work or you’re noticing signs of sagging or shifting, we’re always willing to take a look and give you an honest assessment. Even if it’s just peace of mind — that matters.
Your home deserves work that’s done right the first time.
