PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT: My Experience With Appalachian Landscaping & Construction
Because transparency matters, especially in small communities.
At the end of 2024, I partnered with Tyler Curley in good faith to help launch what is now Appalachian Landscaping & Construction. I designed the branding, paid for the domain, created the logo, built the website, and provided all of the marketing materials. I also personally covered startup expenses—including print, digital, and setup infrastructure—under the mutual understanding that I was part of the business’s foundation.
After the launch, I was abruptly removed from involvement, denied compensation, and completely cut off from communication. Despite acknowledging the debt in writing, Tyler has refused to resolve the matter and has continued operating the business using the work I created and funded.
I’ve shared a full breakdown—including timeline, receipts, and communication screenshots—on a public page here:

I am not posting this for drama or revenge. I’m posting it because I believe in accountability, especially in a town where word-of-mouth carries real weight. If a business is going to benefit from a community’s trust, it should be built on honesty, transparency, and respect for professional relationships.
I’ve taken formal legal steps to protect my work and document what occurred. I’m choosing to share this publicly because others in our town deserve to know the truth behind the branding they’re seeing.
This is my story, and I stand by it.
If you’ve had a similar experience with this business or individual, I encourage you to speak up. Silence only protects the behavior.
