A quick walk through of the main parts of our house. Some of you have wanted to see a little more. My stories just aren’t satisfactory i guess. ☺️It was clean but as you can see: sonic drink and 3 year olds’ lunch plus a sleeping child and construction front doors, and folding dining chairs make it not quite finished). But it’s a little somethin for ya. Also this walk through might make you sick. My husband can never watch these things. You’ve been warned. 😵‍💫😂

If you aren’t building your house out of ICF right now, with lumber prices insane, than you are likely paying more to use lumber.
🔸Let me introduce myself: my name is Alexis Hanson, my husband and I own Kingstud Construction in southwest Idaho. We are currently building our own personal home out of ICF. We have been in the building industry for almost 20 years. I share lots of building info in my stories (and i save them in my highlight bubbles). So if you are building right now, follow along to learn everything you can about building your home, from an actual builder’s perspective. And yes I’m a woman builder (with my husband) in this industry and i love my job! I’m also a mother of 5 with two still not in school, so they are my little helpers a lot! We are busy but happy to be educating others from our experiences as builders and sharing with you so that your experience building can be the best!
With ICF you get a stronger, better, efficient product. It’s just a no brainer .... stop “considering” it and do it. Don’t you want a house that is fire resistant, hurricane resistant, earthquake resistant, mold resistant, stronger, cooler in hot weather and warm in cold weather, quiet and peaceful, clean fresh air...and SO efficient you hardly notice you have utilities? i could go on! And i do...in my stories! Thanks for being here!!

🖤 🤍 I love a good black and white bathroom. The combo of this black melamine cabinet (perfect for bathrooms with vanities next to the toilet...ya know) is a breeze to clean and wipe down. Such a clean and crisp look! This was from our last year parade of homes. Can’t wait for in June. Hope you’ll come visit our ICF built parade house (not our personal...that would be speedily built. We haven’t even poured footings yet). My husband and I love meeting you all and answering your questions so we will be there everyday! Save the date June 18-June 27 in Canyon County.

Hello counter space!! The pantry in this one is a butlers pantry so all your appliances will stay out of site and it will look all beautiful and clean like this. Right? Monday Must-have. An awesome front door. 🚪 After all, it’s the literal first thing people see when they come over. There are SO many options for doors...go for it and get a fun door. Here’s a few of my favorites we’ve done. We’ve got a few cool ideas up our sleeve for other designs on upcoming houses. To me it’s like a piece of artwork. It makes a regular wall or entry way look finished with little to no decor. 🙌🏻 we’ve been in major declutter mode over here and I’m loving the Less is More idea.

Monday must-have looks a little different. As I was scrolling through my house photos I came across this one and it spoke to me. When building or remodeling a home this is a huge HUGE piece of whether the project will be a success or a horrible experience. As long as all parties remember to Choose Kind, the project will go great. Things may not go your way, your spouses way or the builders way, there will be hiccups, guaranteed. But navigating with kindness will always win. Happy Monday friends! Thankful for all our kind clients we’ve worked with! We certainly love what we do and try to bring our skill and knowledge to the table to help the process go as smooth as possible as well as a healthy dose of kindness. 🥰
