As WISAY (Women in Science at Yale), we are dedicated to promoting the interests of women (cis and trans) and other traditionally marginalized genders in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), supporting women scientists, and advocating for gender equality in all fields. WISAY creates a campus-wide network of scientists across many scientific disciplines and provides the opportu

nity for Yale scientists to meet with leading women scientists from Yale and around the country. Our goals as an organization include:
- Networking
- Mentoring
- Creating community
- Career development

Through our mentoring program, WISAY aims to help more women advance in the sciences and address issues specifically affecting women in science. This program provides a unique and valuable opportunity for women starting out to directly interact with more experienced women scientists who are already incorporated into the scientific community. We have 2 levels of mentoring: Undergraduates are matched with graduate students and graduate students are matched with post-doctoral fellows at Yale for mentoring, encouragement, guidance and support. For mentors, being able to share their knowledge and experience with their mentee and know that they have made a difference is very rewarding.
