Twenty years later, the Dome still carries the feeling of that night. September 25, 2006 wasn’t just the Saints coming home. It was New Orleans hearing the Dome roar again. It was hope in the middle of rebuilding. It was one night that reminded an entire city what it felt like to believe in the comeback.
Tonight, we celebrate Domecoming, but this has always been bigger than football. It belongs to the people who rebuilt homes, reopened businesses, brought families home, and kept showing up for New Orleans. To everyone who remembers that night, and everyone carrying that same spirit forward today: this is your Domecoming. 20 years later, the Dome still means something different in New Orleans. 🖤💛⚜️
