The first day of Ramadan is a moment of renewal—physically, spiritually, and emotionally. It’s a time to realign priorities, practice patience, and cultivate gratitude.
Fasting from dawn to sunset is more than abstaining from food and drink; it’s an exercise in self-discipline, reminding us of those who face hunger daily. The stillness of suhoor (pre-dawn meal) and the peaceful anticipation of iftar (breaking fast) offer moments to reflect on our blessings and seek closeness to God.
Beyond the physical fast, there’s also an internal fast—guarding our words, thoughts, and actions. It’s an opportunity to practice kindness, forgiveness, and generosity.
Day one may feel challenging, as the body adjusts, but it also brings a deep sense of purpose. Ramadan is an invitation to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with faith, community, and personal growth
