Job Title: HR Manager - Guyana

Location: Georgetown, Guyana
Are you a seasoned HR professional looking for a new challenge? We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Human Resources Manager to lead our team in Georgetown, Guyana.
As the HR Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources practices and processes. This includes recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and ensuring compliance with local labor laws.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the recruitment and selection process.
- Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
- Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital.
- Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.
- Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and programs to support company objectives.
- Ensure compliance with local Guyanese labor laws and regulations.
- Conduct regular audits and update policies as needed to maintain compliance.
- Oversee all HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, training, and development.
- Manage the recruitment and selection process to attract, hire, and retain top talent.
- Develop and implement performance management systems to evaluate and improve employee performance.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related issues and policies.
- Handle employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievances.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Proven working experience as an HR Manager or other HR executive.
- Knowledge of Guyana labor laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in human resources management, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and labor laws specific to Guyana.
- Proven experience in managing project financials, including budget and cost control.
Skills:
- Excellent leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in using HR management software and tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
