The idea of a get-together of adults who had grown up in Cambridge, St. James during the 1960s was formed at a gathering of a few such persons at Mt. Reece Methodist Church Easter 2003.Some of those persons lived in New York City and it was not until February 2004 that the first meeting to bring about such a get-together was held. The original plan was to have one reunion event but it grew into an

expansive affair with extensive involvement in community affairs. The group was called The Cambridge Reunion and Improvement Project. After three years, the group was formalized as The Cambridge Improvement Organization, (USA), Inc. [CIO].
