SRG + CannonDesign shares our commitment to creating buildings and spaces that support mental health and destigmatize what it means to receive mental healthcare.

One of the firm’s current projects is the Center for Behavioral Health and Learning at the University of Washington. The six-story building will be a fully integrated healing environment for individuals struggling with both physical and behavioral health conditions. It will support a full continuum of clinical services ranging from effective medication management and psychotherapies to state-of-the-art neuromodulation treatments, as well as medical and surgical care for individuals with behavioral health disorders. When the building opens this summer, it will become the foundation for the positive transformation of the entire behavioral health system in the state of Washington.

We’re continuing the celebration of our merger with SRG Partnership, Inc. by sharing one of their impressive sports projects — Hayward Field at the University of Oregon. SRG has a deep portfolio of sports + recreation work, having designed stadiums, fields and recreation centers across Oregon and Washington.

Hayward Field was designed to be the “finest track and field facility in the world,” giving the University of Oregon’s elite student-athletes, as well as competitors from across the globe, an unparalleled platform to elevate the boundaries of human achievement. A true theater for track and field sports, the field sets a new standard for fan experiences and connections to the sport.

As announced yesterday by Mayo Clinic, Foster + Partners, CannonDesign and Gilbane Building Company are collaborating with Mayo Clinic to realize a revolutionary new vision for healthcare. The project — referred to as Bold. Forward. Unbound. in Rochester — is a multiyear strategic initiative that imagines Mayo Clinic’s Rochester, Minnesota campus and introduces new facilities that combine innovative care concepts and digital technologies to transform the patient experience, advance more cures and improve outcomes.

The design transforms access to the spectrum of patient services — from labs and imaging to consultations and treatments — by creating adjacencies in dynamic care “neighborhoods” which will both streamline the patient experience and better support Mayo Clinic’s collaborative model of care.
