A few days ago, we featured Bruna Castros at Aquaciência, while Eduardo Urbinati, together with our distributor Innutri AG, represented us at FENACAM.

At FENACAM, Thiago Bernardino from CEPEA delivered the talk we sponsored on the possibilities in Brazil’s shrimp business market 🌱.

Proud moment from last week in Brazil! Our colleague Bruna Castro represented us at AQUACIÊNCIA 🔬

She presented our work on the strategic use of PAQ-Protex as an immunomodulator for fish, including a look at how saponins contribute to its mode of action.

Bruna also shared new trial results under 𝙁𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙞𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙖 𝙊𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙨 and 𝗜𝗦𝗞𝗡𝗩 challenges, showing clear benefits for fish health and resilience.

𝗘𝗛𝗣 remains a major challenge in shrimp farming, as it is highly contagious and increasingly widespread. While there’s no known cure, effective biosecurity measures can help control its impact.

✅ Implement a biosecurity plan to prevent or mitigate EHP infections.
✅ Stock only EHP-free post-larvae verified by PCR testing.
✅ Maintain good water quality through pond and equipment sanitation.
✅ Use high-quality feed and functional additives
✅ Keep salinity levels below 10 ppt to minimize severity.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing with his dog, soccer, and exploring the open road on his motorcycle.
