The Research and Observation Center (ROC) at Intertek is used to observe consumers ranging in age from 6 months to adults as they interact with various products to identify potential hazards and predict foreseeable use. At Intertek’s ROC, highly skilled industry-focused safety engineers, scientists and research specialists conduct volunteer studies and product research for global consumer goods re

tailers and manufacturers to evaluate product safety and quality. These specialists observe consumer volunteers taking part in everyday activities in an effort to see how individuals of various ages use and relate to different consumer products in order to provide guidance to consumer goods manufacturers about product safety and quality. In addition, Intertek’s child development specialists use the ROC to study and observe children’s patterns of play to provide expert recommendations to toy and children’s product manufacturers regarding safety and injury prevention. Intertek’s specialists are trained in conducting naturalistic consumer observations, as well as facilitating appropriate consumer studies, including consumer trials and focus groups.

ATTN: Intertek Playgroup

We are hosting a playgroup next Thursday December 17th from 1:00-2:00pm for children 3-6 years of age.

The focus of the playgroup will gross motor development so there will be various toys and activities for your child to choose from that will encourage them to run, jump, and play. :)
