The best projects are the ones where a client says,
“I trust you — I know it’s going to be amazing.”

This was one of those projects… with one of our favorite clients.

This bathroom belonged to Grandma. She’s spent her life sacrificing for her family and never asking for much in return. So when we were asked to create the perfect bathroom just for her, we knew this one had to be special.

We gathered input from the entire family, like what colors she loves, what would make her feel safe, what would make her feel proud of the space. When we presented the design concepts, she was so excited she couldn’t stop talking about it.

We took the room down to the studs and rebuilt it completely:
✔️ New walls
✔️ New vanity and lighting
✔️ New flooring
✔️ New toilet
✔️ A fully redesigned shower

The shower was designed for both beauty and comfort featuring a foldable seat, safety grab bars, easy-glide sliding doors, a rain shower head with a handheld wand. The wall featured a stunning full wisteria wallpaper mural that makes the entire room feel like a garden in bloom.

This wasn’t just a remodel. It was a thank-you gift in the form of a bathroom.

As we wrap up 2025, we just want to say thank you.

Thank you to the homeowners who trusted us with their spaces, welcomed us into their homes, and let us be part of creating places they’ll live in and love for years to come.

This year brought kitchens, bathrooms, basements, decks and a whole lot of sawdust. It also brought kindness, great conversations, unexpected snack time (popcorn!!), and the reminder that we really do get to work with the most wonderful people.

These little holiday pieces were made from leftover materials saved from projects throughout the year. As we collected them, they became a quiet reminder that care, intention, and creativity matter at every scale.

What began as a simple ceiling repair quickly turned into a full bathroom transformation 🫶

A few takeaways from this project:

1️⃣ Early-1900s homes & plaster walls
Homes from this era often have plaster walls and ceilings that have been layered with decades of paint, primer, patching and love. Over time, those layers trap moisture, causing failure, especially in bathrooms and kitchens. The good news? In many cases, we can repair these surfaces and reinforce them without full replacement.

2️⃣ Designing for aging in place
We’re seeing a generation of owners who want to stay in the homes they love, but with a few thoughtful upgrades. This renovation focused on accessibility and comfort while elevating the overall look, including a curbless shower, safety grab bars, and low-maintenance finishes.

3️⃣ Small space, big coordination
A 5×7 bathroom doesn’t leave much room for error or extra people 😄 With the right planning and a solid team, even the tightest spaces can be transformed efficiently and beautifully.

⚜️ Project Spotlight - The Attic Reno ⚜️
Another great renovation wrapped up — on time and on budget!

One thing we’ve learned working with our amazing clients is that every project has its priorities. Sometimes budget can be a barrier, but finding creative ways to meet in the middle is what we do best.

In this project, the client’s dream space was more extensive than the current scope allowed, so we focused on building the perfect foundation for their future vision.

🏡 The beadboard ceilings and walls were already in place, so instead of tearing everything out, we added shallow rafters and painted it all matte black to minimize imperfections and create a cozy, moody feel.

🛏️ We also built a queen-sized cove for guests, complete with a built-in exterior bookcase. A spooky-season wallpaper and Ravenswood vinyl floors tied it all together beautifully.

Now the space works perfectly as a guest room, storage area, and quiet book nook — with room to evolve as the client decorates over time.
