Members from Oly Cow (Anjali Vasisht and Harry Collet), Bear necessities (Tom Pree) and our mentor (Mr.Steinkamp) went to the Olympia School District’s Tech Fair to promote FTC Robotics and what our teams are all about! Tech Fair is an event where schools from elementary to high school come together to promote the importance of technology and share their tech. projects to the public. The members spoke to 80-100 people about FTC robotics, what and how we built the robot’s components, as well as demonstrated the robot’s functions and what skills we have gained by being a part of robotics. The members also got to encourage children to join their school’s robotics team and allowed them to drive the robot! Many children were fascinated by robotics and the members answered any questions the children and their parents had about the program. Overall, Tech Fair was a successful event in which we connected with our local community, especially children, to talk about what robotics is all about!
