Ontario firefighters are voting YES on Measure H because protecting our growing community requires continued investment in emergency response and public safety.

Measure H would provide locally controlled funding to support fire protection, emergency medical services, police and other essential city services.

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3, and Ontario Firefighters Local 1430 encourages you to vote YES on Measure H. 🚒🗳️

24,477 emergency calls last year, up 34% in a decade. 🚒

Ontario has stepped up with Station 11, a new Station 1, two more ambulances and the county’s first field blood program. Measure H keeps that going, with $32.5M a year that stays local and is audited every year.

Ontario firefighters are all in. Vote YES on H by Tuesday, Nov. 3! 🗳️

Ontario firefighters are proud to stand behind Measure H. 🚒

Our city is growing, and so are the calls for help. Ontario Fire answered 24,477 emergency calls last fiscal year, up 34% from 10 years ago. That’s about 67 calls every single day.

Ontario has shown it’s serious about meeting that demand:

✅ Fire Station 11, serving the fast-growing south end of the city
✅ A brand-new Fire Station 1
✅ Two more advanced life support ambulances
✅ The first prehospital blood program in San Bernardino County, giving trauma patients blood before they reach the hospital

Measure H keeps that momentum going. It brings in about $32.5 million a year that stays in Ontario. The state and county can’t take it, an independent auditor reviews it every year, and groceries and prescriptions are exempt.

Thank you to every member, spouse and child who walked precincts with us. You showed this city what Local 1430 is made of. 💪

Election Day is Tuesday, November 3. Every Ontario voter was mailed a ballot. Fill it out, turn it in, and vote YES on H.

🚒🚑🚓 Every emergency is someone’s worst moment, and first responders are entrusted with making a difference when every second counts.

That responsibility requires constant training, difficult decisions and the ability to provide calm, compassionate care under pressure.

On National First Responders Day, Ontario Firefighters Local 1430 recognizes our fellow firefighters, paramedics, dispatchers and law enforcement officers, and the families who support their commitment to serving others.

On Oct. 3, our brother, Ontario firefighter Javan Settles, was honored at the California Firefighters Memorial in Sacramento. His name is now engraved on the memorial wall. 👨‍🚒🤍🕊️

To our Local 1430 family, Javan was a friend, a dedicated firefighter and a proud father who spoke often about his two daughters. We carry his memory with us and stand beside his loved ones as we honor him and California’s fallen firefighters.

Forever our brother. Never forgotten.

Margie Christensen is part of our fire family. For 26 years, she’s been there for our community as an Ontario Fire Department dispatcher. Now, as she faces breast cancer, we’re coming together to be there for her. 💗

🚘 🍔 👋 Classic cars, a busy grill and a lot of familiar faces — Local 1430 was out on Euclid Avenue last month for Ontario’s Route 66 Cruisin’ Reunion.

Ontario Fire Explorers helped cook at our trailer while we caught up with neighbors throughout the day. Thanks to everyone who stopped by!

🚑 Starting at midnight tonight, Oct. 1, Ontario firefighters will begin providing ambulance transport services in Ontario and surrounding communities through a partnership with CONFIRE EMS & Mobile Health.

Two Ontario Fire Department advanced life support ambulances, based at Stations 6 and 7, will join CONFIRE’s regional system. The partnership is designed to strengthen coordination between dispatchers, firefighters and ambulance crews, supporting patient care from the emergency call through hospital transport.

For residents, calling for emergency help stays the same: dial 911, and dispatchers will send the appropriate resources. 🚒🤝
