What is the Space Apps Challenge? The International Space Apps Challenge is a two-day hackathon where teams of technologists, scientists, designers, artists, educators, entrepreneurs, developers and students across the globe collaborate and engage with publicly available data to design innovative solutions for global challenges. What are the benefits of participating? Two winning projects will be

nominated from each Space Apps location. Nominated projects will join the global judging process, the results of which will be announced in May. Five finalists in each of the five categories will move into the final round of judging by NASA executives. How are projects categorized? Each year a new set of challenge themes is released. Within each theme, there are several specific challenges. These challenges are designed to serve as an inspiration for your work and as a platform for the global community to work together.
