Meet Rod Elston, a QC Level 2 UT Technician at FabArc Steel Supply! 🌟

For the past 22 years, Rod has been an integral part of the FabArc team, bringing experience, dedication, and a commitment to quality to every project. As a QC Level 2 UT Technician, Rod plays an important role in ensuring the strength and reliability of the structures FabArc helps bring to life.

One of his favorite parts of working at FabArc is seeing the impact the company has made across America’s infrastructure and knowing the work he contributes to is part of something bigger. Rod describes his team as a family, and his favorite part of each day is walking through the doors and seeing what new adventure awaits.

This project came together through strong collaboration with SyS-Con, LLC, Owner ENF Kyle Technology, LLC, and Structural Engineer Nannis & Associates to deliver a facility built for innovation and growth.

We're back with another Behind the Beam spotlight, showcasing the equipment and processes that help keep our operations running efficiently and our steel moving through the shop. ⚙️

This month, we're featuring the 4 Wheel Blaster Descaling System, a key piece of equipment used to prepare structural steel for the next stage of fabrication. Designed for shot blasting and surface cleaning, it removes mill scale, rust, dirt, and old coatings from beams, plates, channels, and angles, creating a clean, uniform surface ready for welding or coating.

With two 4 Wheel Blasters operating at our facility, this process helps ensure the quality and consistency our customers expect from FabArc Steel Supply.

: This month, we’re spotlighting the Houston Rockets Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, where 2,650 tons of FabArc Steel Supply steel played a key role in bringing this landmark venue to life.

Encompassing more than 340,000 square feet, the project was completed for the Seminole Indian Tribe, with Perini/Suitt serving as the contractor and Lochsa Engineering providing structural engineering services.

From premier sports venues to large commercial developments, FabArc Steel Supply is proud to help bring complex structures like these to life. 🛠️
