Excited to share some big news!
I just completed my OSHA 30-Hour Construction Outreach Training to receive my official Department of Labor card!
For those who might not know, the OSHA 30 is a comprehensive safety training program designed specifically for the construction industry. It goes way beyond the basics—covering hazard recognition, avoidance, prevention, and abatement for everything from falls and electrical risks to scaffolding, excavations, and more. It’s aimed at supervisors, foremen, safety managers, and business owners like me who have responsibility for keeping crews safe on the job site.
As the owner of an earth construction business, this certification means a lot:
• Stronger safety culture — I can better lead my team in spotting and fixing hazards before they become problems.
• Compliance & peace of mind — Helps ensure we’re meeting OSHA standards (29 CFR 1926) and reduces the risk of costly fines or shutdowns.
• Better for bids & clients — Many general contractors, projects, and insurance providers look for this credential when hiring subs—it shows we’re serious about safety.
• Potential insurance savings — A solid safety record can sometimes lead to lower premiums.
• Pride in protecting my crew — At the end of the day, nothing matters more than everyone going home safe every day.
Safety isn’t just a checkbox—it’s the foundation of everything we do in this industry. Proud to invest in it and set the example for my team.
Thanks to everyone who’s supported the business along the way! Let’s keep building safely. 💪🏗️
