David Abshire enjoyed teaching the screw compressor training class at the OU Short Course this week. Thank you to everyone in the class for the good questions and the engagement throughout the course.

We have been in the compression business for more than 40 years, and training the next generation of operators and technicians is part of how the industry stays strong.

We are at the OU Short Course this week with Casen and Kennedy on hand to talk about compression with anyone who stops by.

Owner David Abshire also taught the screw compressor training class this week, because the same people who build and service this equipment should be the ones teaching how it works.

If you're on campus, come say hello.

Wiring up a unit in the shop, getting it ready to head to the test loop.

Every skid goes through this before it leaves our floor. Wired, checked, and run through its paces so it shows up on location ready to perform, not ready to troubleshoot.

We build it right the first time.

Out in Oklahoma earlier this month.

Our team on site, checking this unit over and making sure everything's running the way it should. This is the day-to-day work that keeps compression online and production moving.

We stay close to the field, because that's where the job actually gets done.

Six weeks ago this unit was a bill of materials on a cart in the Pampa shop.

Nathan pulled the parts. The welders put the skid together. Quality Control checked every reading at the bench. It ran the test loop before it ever saw a flatbed truck.

Today it's on location and running.

That's the whole point.

Midwest Compressor Systems recently acquired A&H Compression out of Weatherford, Oklahoma.

A&H has good people and customers who've counted on them for years. Those relationships are not going anywhere. What changes is what's behind them: access to Midwest's full technician network, a larger parts and inventory base, and 24/7 service support through 859-MIDWEST any hour of the day.

David Abshire started Midwest four years ago with 8 employees and 100 units. The company now runs nearly 400 units across six states with more than 40 people on the team. Oklahoma has always been part of the plan.

The word is out in the Permian Basin.

ABC Big 2 News - KMID covered the opening of our new Midland field service location at 3017 W. County Road 137. The new office expands our equipment deployment and maintenance capabilities right where Permian Basin operators need us most.

Faster response. Local presence. The same service standard we've held since 1980.

Every unit we build starts the same way, with a phone call.

A customer needs compression. That call goes to scheduling, scheduling hands off to a member of our team. Our team doesn't touch the welding bay until every single part on that bill of materials is pulled, checked, and staged on the cart. No guessing. No discovering something is missing when you are already on the clock.

It takes a little longer to do it right the first time. We have found it takes a lot longer to fix it later.

This is the Midwest way.

When David Abshire took over Midwest Compressor Systems, the company had 8 employees, 100 units, and a footprint that was almost entirely contained within the Texas Panhandle.

The Panhandle is good training ground for a compression company. The fields are mature, the wells are demanding, and the operators who've been working those reservoirs for 30 and 40 years expect service that matches their experience of the field. You earn your reputation out there one service call at a time, because everyone knows everyone and nobody forgets a missed PM.

Midwest grew from that base by doing the same thing in every new basin it entered: putting people on the ground who knew the lease roads before the first unit shipped, building standardized equipment that could be serviced by any Midwest tech regardless of which yard it came from, and showing up when it said it would.

Today the fleet covers the Permian, the DJ Basin, the Anadarko, the Eagle Ford, and the Powder River Basin — 400-plus units across five states. The service model that worked in Lipscomb County works the same way in Lea County, New Mexico, and Weld County, Colorado, etc.

That's the point.
