THE TRADES ARE ALIVE AND WELL. 🇺🇸
Today was one of those days that reminded us exactly why career and technical education matters.
Garrett is a senior this year in the Ag Mechanics program, and he also represents the fourth generation of Bartlett Plastic Fabrication.
Today, he stepped into the welding shop and had the opportunity to introduce the instructor and students to something a little different — thermoplastic fabrication and plastic welding.
Steel fabrication. Ag mechanics. Diesel. Welding. Industrial maintenance. Plastic fabrication.
They may be different trades, but they all have something in common:
Skilled hands. Problem solving. Hard work. Pride in what you build.
There is a whole world of opportunity waiting for young men and women who want to work with their hands, learn a trade, build something real, and become damn good at what they do.
And today, watching a 17-year-old take knowledge that has been passed down through our family and confidently share it with another group of future tradesmen was something pretty special.
Bartlett began in 1969.
Four generations later, we’re still learning, still building, still teaching, and still proud to be part of the working trades that keep this country moving.
Teach the next generation.
Respect the trades.
Build something that lasts.
