Our kids today are not learning how to use their hands or fix anything!!

Both my kids are headed to the trades. My oldest is doing an apprenticeship and trades program as his last semester of high school.

He's training to be an auto mechanic. I am happy he found his passion.

Skilled trades are just as important as university degrees. I would argue more so! Thank you Tool Pros • Brent Ridley] for this post.

Posted • Tool Pros • Brent Ridley] This! We have created a skilled trades shortage by pushing a 4 year degree on EVERY kid. And not only pushing a 4 year degree, looking down upon people in the trades. That is wrong. We need to teach kids in high school that is ok and even encouraged to choose a skilled trades job. We’ve started making the change but have a LONG way to go.
