Anyone can point a phone at a rink and call it a livestream. Making it feel like a broadcast is a different job entirely.
This is how we run a roller hockey broadcast: Sony broadcast cameras on fluid tripods, every angle called live from the control station, and a TD and crew who know the game well enough to be on the play before it happens.
That is the difference between streaming a game and broadcasting one. A stream shows you what happened. A broadcast makes the grandparent three states away feel like they have a front-row seat.
We bring this same setup to podcasts, corporate shows, and live events across LA and OC. If your next event deserves more than a shaky feed, save this post and DM us LIVE. We will talk through what your production needs.
Event organizers and coaches: what has gone wrong on a livestream you have run or watched? Drop it in the comments, chances are we have seen it and fixed it.
