Customer Service Representative
Wigand Disposal Company is a family held waste service company that has been in business since 1928. We are looking for the right individual to fill a vital role with our company. This individual will be the face and voice of our company. You will be the first person that our customers speak to and you will become the person who they rely on to get correct information. This opportunity is located in Chillicothe. Due to delay in trash collection this week, recycling will be serviced on Saturday, January 11th for 2nd Friday of the month customers.

No Garbage Pickup Monday for City of Peoria Residents

Because of dangerous sub-zero weather conditions, the City of Peoria and Peoria Disposal Company are canceling residential garbage pickup for Monday, January 6, 2014. Instead, all residential pickup will be delayed one day for the rest of the week. Monday customers will be picked up on Tuesday. Tuesday customers will be picked up on Wednesday. The one-day delay will last through the week, similar to a delayed Holiday pickup schedule. Friday customers will be picked up on Saturday, January 11.

In 2011, Peoria residents recycled 1,762.3 tons of material at home. Our grand total for 2012 is 2,318.9 tons...an increase of over 556 tons in just one year! Way to go! Let's spread the word and keep that number growing, so we can recycle even more in 2013!

Today is America Recycles Day!! PDC is celebrating by giving away 15 FREE recycling carts TODAY! All you have to do is be one of the first 15 customers to come to our corporate office TODAY (November 15), sign up, and then take your free recycling cart home!

This offer is only available at the PDC corporate office, located at 4700 N. Sterling Ave. in Peoria (next to Walgreens), and is only available on Thursday, November 15. Recycling carts are available to Peoria residents only. Office hours are 8 am – 5 pm. One free cart per household. For questions, call PDC at 309-674-5176.

Tomorrow is America Recycles Day. Did you know an estimated 80,000,000 Hershey's Kisses are wrapped each day, using enough aluminum foil to cover over 50 acres of space? All that foil is recyclable, but not many people realize it.

Don't forget this Thursday is America Recycles Day. Used aluminum beverage cans are the most recycled item in the U.S., but other types of aluminum, such as siding, gutters, car components, storm window frames, and lawn furniture can also be recycled.
