Finally close to finishing patio project in the 2400 block of Christian. 6,000 + lbs of old patio cement, brick, roots and fencing removed. 3,000 + bricks, 100 16 x16 pavers, sand and other materials brought in to rebuild. Here are some before and after photos.

Fall and winter are ideal times to get your patio, deck, fence, etc. projects dealt with. Temps are moderate, the ground doesn’t freeze much any more over the winter. There is less competition for materials. Also a good time for basements, kitchens and baths.

Change can be good

After nearly 30 years of technology and coding software, I couldn’t do it anymore. No passion left at all. Over the past 25+ years I have lived first on Kater St and then Bainbridge St. During this time I have become quite intimate with the construction, upkeep, maintenance and issues that we all have to deal with in these row homes. The most extensive was the Bainbridge house I live in now, 20 years ago I gutted the property to the common brick walls and rafters and rebuilt. This past year we went through a cosmetic renovation, painting and upgrading many aspects that had fatigued. I like working with my hands, transforming and purifying properties. Prior to entering the tech world I had done renovations for a few stints and during college years, hung drywall, tiled bathrooms, kitchens and floors. So here I am back in the renovation business for the long haul.
