The past weekend, I had a blast attending PhysCon 2016 Quadrennial Physics Conference in San Francisco, CA. This is an undergraduate physics conference that takes place every four years in a different location throughout the country, and this year I got to go to one of my favorite cities! I had the chance to meet some of the most inspirational physicists, such as Dr. Jocelyn Bell Burnell who discovered pulsars as a graduate student and Dr. Neil Turok a leading theoretical physicist, as well as present my current research at a poster session. It was great hearing positive feedback on the research that I am completing for my senior thesis project, which is physics education research looking into how fun, informal experiences with particle physics can positively influence high school students. - Brean Prefontaine, Physics Tutor at ACE
