I recently was out on a service call for this water source Fan Coil that wasn’t turning on. After inspecting the unit, I found a blown 15A time-delay fuse (TR15RID, 600V AC) in the electrical panel, likely caused by wornout fuse. The unit’s wiring and components, including the contactors and relays, showed signs of wear, but the main culprit was the fuse.
I replaced the fuse with a matching Tri-onic dual-element time-delay fuse (15A, 600V AC) to ensure safe and reliable operation. I also checked the wiring, connections, amparage and overall system to prevent future issues. Now, the AC is running smoothly again, keeping the space comfortable!
Tips for others: Always check fuses and electrical components first when troubleshooting HVAC issues, and make sure to use the correct replacement parts. If you’re not comfortable with electrical work, it’s best to call a professional.
