https://bizj.us/1q9u5d The cost of being unable to operate in a utility outage could be huge. Microgrids with wind, solar, and storage have the ability to island and operate indefinitely off-grid. This is a compelling risk mitigation strategy.

A Plum Borough wind and microgrid manufacturer and a large trucking and shipping company have combined to chart a course for future energy needs.

You may be hearing misinformation about wind turbines freezing in cold weather. Not true! This is one of our many wind turbines doing its thing in Homestead, PA today. Properly outfitted for cold weather, wind turbines work above the Arctic circle. In fact, cold air is much denser than warm air and produces more energy in winter.

BRANDON GDOVIC, SAM HUNT RACING TO CARRY RECENT MOMENTUM TO DAYTONA ROAD COURSE:

The momentum continues to build for Sam Hunt Racing, as they prepare to run the first annual Daytona Road Course Xfinity Series event with driver Brandon Gdovic this weekend in the #26 WindStax Energy Toyota. Gdovic, no stranger to road racing or the Daytona road course-looks to leverage his prior experience at the track into another career best run. Coming off an impressive 12th place Xfinity finish at Indianapolis in the SHR machine, Gdovic has eyes set on his first ever top 10 finish. This will come as no easy task, however- as the 26 car will start the race at the tail end of the field due to the current COVID19 rules, including no qualifying.
Luckily, for fans nationwide- you can ride along with Brandon Gdovic and Sam Hunt Racing for the first time ever, as he marches through the field. The NBC in-car and on-board cameras will be carried on the WindStax Energy #26 Toyota Supra at Daytona this weekend. Coming off of a successful weekend with two 3rd place finishes at Road America in the IMSA Lamborghini Super Trofeo Series, Gdovic is excited for the upcoming challenge in NASCAR.

“I’m happy to be back driving for Sam again this weekend and excited for the unique challenge of going into this race with no practice. Luckily I have the advantage of having raced multiple times on the Daytona road course. Hopefully we carry the momentum from Indy into this weekend’s race.”

Twenty-seven-year-old team owner Sam Hunt has confidence that Gdovic will continue the team’s recent success this weekend- and has potential to be a breakout weekend for the organization.

“I’m extremely excited about the opportunity we have this weekend in Daytona. Brandon is no stranger to success and has shown he can maximize equipment with his ability behind the wheel, as well as help continue to strengthen our young team. As long as we navigate traffic well and stay out of the mess, it might just be the most exciting race we’ve had all season. The WindStax Energy on-board cameras should serve as an absolute thrill ride for fans, as Brandon will charge from the rear and look to pass more cars than anyone else in the race. If we can keep bringing competitive, beautiful cars to the track like we have been- the sky is the limit for our future. We want to provide high caliber drivers with a platform to showcase their talent and gain experience in competitive cars – while operating in a professional fashion that any and all sponsors or partners will want to be a part of. We hope to be the future of NASCAR.”

Sam Hunt Racing continues their growth as a fresh, young, and attractive new Xfinity Series team. The team currently operates on a part time basis with a high caliber effort – utilizing their partnership with Toyota Racing Development and Joe Gibbs Engines. Recent finishes of 14th, 12th, and 16th have proven strength and speed in both the cars and their young drivers right out of the gate.
