Perhaps being long overdue and forever incomplete was always the price of admission into a life haunted by foresight.

Chipping away to fill in the gaps, congealing what I can, and preparing for the next phase.

Mechanimal is the Archive and Hub for Jason Adam Bannister. Spanning a career of design and scientific model building since the late 1990's, through a spectrum of dinosaurs to robots.

Strauss is a smart fella, went on a tour to CMU's ETC with him a number of years ago, closer to GTA5 launch. I had no idea who he was at the time, which is nice actually, would've been distracting, for us both.

We were touring various ongoing projects at the university level bleeding edge of gaming tech development. So I had only a generic guess as to why he was there. We did chat along the way, comparing what we thought of each demonstration.

Point being not all CEOs get into the nitty-gritty this deep, such visceral understanding at a macro level. But I know from direct experience that Strauss is certainly one of them.

Guessing no more, it's pretty clear why he was there.

What is Mechanimal up to these days?

Developing a very unexpected breakthrough.

Building a new website currently, finally as I never completed the original. I left it in a broken state, incomplete for over a decade, deliberately. As it had the opposite effect of attracting more work, which is what I needed while battling a life altering health crisis.

That crisis is over, this breakthrough provided the knowledge to resolve it. And much more, hence what started as a side-quest has now become the main quest, or is at least adjacent to it.

Because I will get back to robotics at some point.

With new tools in hand.
